Background: This case study is the high incidence of gout arthritis in Indonesia reaching around 7.3% or around 730 thousand, based on Riskesdas data. 2018) in West Java Province the prevalence of gout was 131,486 (17.5%). West Java is still high at position 3 in Indonesia as much (15.4%). In the city of Bandung, joint disease occupies the 15th position of the top 20 diseases in the Puskesmas with 1.57% and a total of 17,049 people. Method: The writing method uses a descriptive approach in the form of a case study to find out the problem of nursing care for the elderly with goutarthritis at the J. Soenarti Asution Elderly House, Bandung City by conducting observations, interviews, physical examinations and documentation studies. Results and discussion: the evaluation results obtained decreased pain, pain did not spread, pain scale decreased from 3(0-10) to 2(0-10) frequency and duration decreased, able to control pain, expression of grimacing could be reduced. Where there is a nursing diagnosis for Mrs. B, not only acute pain is experienced but there is a companion diagnosis, namely a knowledge deficit, because it was found that there was patient ignorance regarding goutathritis and good eating patterns in goutathritis sufferers, so the authors added this diagnosis as a second diagnosis. Recommendations for respondents are that this nursing care can be implemented with this warm compress, namely when the nurse is no longer practicing at the nursing house, both how to deal with pain and take medication regularly
