Online Pilates ClassesWhat is an online Pilates class and why should you take one?
COVID-19 has completely changed our lives in the past month and will continue to do so for some time yet. For both your physical and mental well-being we believe you should continue to fit in some type of exercise every day. It doesn't have to be demanding or take up a lot of time. You can simply walk around your garden, run up and down the stairs a few times or do some stretches but just moving will make you feel a lot better than sitting all day.
For those that love to go to the gym or take fitness classes on a regular basis, you may have found staying at home all day even harder. Some people are very motivated and can workout easily by themselves and others have taken to following online classes on YouTube.
At Happy Being in Edinburgh, we are missing seeing our clients and helping them towards better health for the body and mind. Until we can open our complementary therapy centre again, we are offering Online Pilates Classes.
Online Pilates Classes
An Online Pilates class with Happy Being means you will be in a small group and will be taught from the comfort of your own home or office. The classes are fully interactive so you won't just be copying someone on your screen. Jane will only ever have a maximum of 8 clients so that she can instruct and correct you easily. This also means you can't fast forward the class to an easier exercise or just lie and watch for a while. You can, of course, have a rest but you will be encouraged to keep going for the hour session as there will always be easier and harder options for every position and exercise.
Are You Missing Your Gym Friends?
Why not join this class with your friends or get in touch with Happy Being to organise a special class just for you and your friends, family or colleagues? You will be able to interact and connect while you workout together.
What Do You Need For An Online Class?
- You need a device that can handle a video call and one with a screen big enough that your instructor can see what you are doing. A laptop or tablet is ideal.
- A quiet place to workout that has enough space for you to lie out and stretch.
- A yoga mat or even a large towel to lie on.
- Wear suitable, comfortable clothes that allow you to move and stretch easily.
