What is a multi point locking door?
It is becoming the norm nowadays, for most new build houses to be fitted with multi point locking doors. These can come in the form of UPVC, composite and even wood.
These are the types of doors where the home owner will usually have to lift the handle up, before turning a key to lock the door. They are fitted with a mechanism in the centre of the door, which runs down the length of the door. When the handle is lifted, a combination of locking point will protrude from the metal strip in the door, and stick into the holes in the door frame to lock the door.
