The ECO4 scheme (Energy Company Obligation) is a UK government initiative designed to help low-income households improve energy efficiency and reduce heating costs. Under this scheme, you may be eligible for free home heating grants to install or upgrade heating systems like boilers, heat pumps, central heating or improve insulation.

Eligibility: Usually for low-income households or those receiving certain government benefits such as Universal Credit, Pension Credit or Child Tax Credit. Some households with low energy efficiency ratings may also qualify.
Improvements Covered: Boiler replacements, insulation upgrades, heat pumps, and other energy-efficient solutions.
Cost: Grants are fully funded, so you don’t have to repay them.
